First Time

Well, here goes. We have officially jumped into the new century by posting our first family BLOG. Hopefully we will be able to keep up with it and share news of our family with our friends and family.

We had a great weekend. Mother's Day was a great reminder of what it means to be a mother. I had to miss out on church because Eli wasn't feeling well. I didn't want to chance it with him in the church nursery, so we stayed home together. It was a good reminder that my job as a mommy doesn't get a break just because it is mother's day. It was a good day though. It was neat to think that last year was my first year celebrating it as a mom for baby Eli, and this year as my second mother's day, I celebrated with my second baby, Lucy. We had a relaxing day with mom and dad and enjoyed the opportunity to spend the weekend with my grandma and grandpa Maynard. It was a good time, but I must admitt that I am getting tired of going there every weekend. It takes a lot out of all 4 of us and it will be so much better when we are finally there all the time.

Today was a great day! I took the day off because I wasn't feeling well. As I started to feel better I decided that I would use my time wisely and packed several boxes and took all of our pictures off the walls. Things are really beginning to come together. We rented the moving truck and I canceled all of our utilities at the house today. The day didn't go without tears, but as I thought about the new house, I had a smile on my face.

Lucy ate rice cereal for the first time tonight at dinner so it was a very BIG moment for us. I can't believe that she is going to be 6 months old this month. The time is really flying by!

Well, it is Monday night so I better sign off and begin watching 24. We don't have too many more episodes until the season finale. I can't miss it!
