We Did It!

Well, Lily is officially four months old as of Sunday. Aaron and I have yet to attempt going to a restaurant where we all sit down, order and then wait, and then finally eating a meal. Hard to believe I know. It is just crazy. We have gone to a restaurant with other people so there are more hands. But just us, the Roach family of five...NOPE! So today we headed to go 'ol Concord Mills to walk around the mall. We usually get lunch there for Eli at a pizza place in the food court. It is relatively fast and we can keep them all strapped into the stroller while they eat. Today I just wasn't feeling California Pizza Kitchen so I suggested to Aaron that we go to Chilis (one of my favorite places that I can't even remember the last time I ate there). He gave me a funny look like.."you're crazy!" I told him that I thought it was the best time to at least try it. It was a week day at the mall and it was before the lunch rush so there weren't tons of people in the restaurant. And worst case scenerio, we'd get it to go and leave. We had to park the two strollers in the stroller parking area and take all three of them to the table. SCARY! The truly scary part was that Eli wasn't in a high chair or even a booster. He wasn't strapped into anything and had the opportunity to run wild through the store. But he didn't. Everyone did awesome. Eli colored and stayed in one place. Lucy enjoyed sucking on lemons and eating everything on her plate and Lily slept. We didn't have to leave early or threaten anyone within an inch of their lives. From all angles it was actually a very successful lunch experience with very few looks from other people! I thought it was definitely blog worthy since it was a first for us!
