Pumpkins

Saturday, we headed out to Patterson Farms to visit the pumpkin patch. It is sad but true, but we haven't done pumpkins with the kids yet. I guess maybe just because they seemed a little young, so we decided that we would head out and pick out 5 pumpkins, one for each of us. It was a beautiful crisp day and Carolina Blue sky, so it was perfect. They have little pumpkins perfect for the kids spread out in the field where the kids can go and pick one out. They only cost $2.00 so I was of course happy about that. Then mommy and daddy each picked a pumpkin that we will carve. (We will try to carve the pumpkins sometime this week so be on the lookout for those pictures and videos later this week! I am sure they will be amusing!)

Today we got the kids dressed in yucky clothes and went outside to paint their little pumpkins. It was a lot of fun! Lily got the messiest with more paint on her than on her pumpkin. Eli was more interested in mixing all the paint colors together to make brown and Lucy actually painted pretty well! It was a lot of fun!
