Set Your TiVo

So it has been a couple of weeks since I last posted! Sorry! With the show at the Gem quickly approaching this Wednesday, and the Christmas season upon us, time has been a bit hard to find. Oh well, onto the reason for my post. I do have lots of pictures and posting to do to catch you up from Lily's first Thanksgiving and our fun trip to Ohio. But I have some more work to do with those photos. I wanted to update you on a fun fact from Lily's doctor's appointment this afternoon! After the helmet was fitted, we had to return after 1 week to be sure that it was a good fit. After just one week, we were already seeing improvement to her head shape! A complete joy. From that appointment, we now go every two weeks. Today we had another one and the therapist was so encouraged to see yet more change in her head shape. She thinks that we got the helmet on right before a steady growth spurt in Lily and that is why we are having such great improvement so quickly. It is amazing though, each night when we are bathing her and cleaning the helmet we can't believe the changes we are seeing too! They still don't give us a timeline but I am not getting my hopes up. The therapist even said today that Lily's ears had moved some. That is what has had me most worried... the ears. I don't know if they will completely fix themselves but I have feared that the ears would prolong the process since they don't move as quickly as the bones in her head! Anyway, there was a buzz in the cranial tech office today! The company is a small company and there are only like 8 in the country. I have been so pleased with them and just love how they have treated Lily and her little "issue". Well it turns out that the company is going to be featured on Wednesday on the TV show called, The Doctors. They are going to be following a patient through the referral process and the beginnings of treatment with Cranial Technologies. I thought I would let you know so you could check it out and get an idea for what we have been going through for about the last 3 months. It has been a hard thing to do through and an easy one as well and I am so glad that we did. Locally, the show will be playing on channel 36 (WCNC) the NBC station at 3:00. For those of my followers that are not local, the doctor's website is : http://www.thedoctorstv.com/ There you can check your local listings to find out when the show will be playing. Make sure you check it out!

What wonderful, exciting news about Lily! We are thrilled you are seeing such dramatic results after only such a short time. God's hand is working. We can't tell you how happy we are to read such good news and hear the enthusiasm come through in your words. We're looking forward to seeing those photos from your trip to Ohio for Thanksgiving. Can't wait until you post them all!
