There Aren't Words...
Well we did it! The show was a stellar success! I was so nervous all day long I could hardly focus on anything. I got there early, around 12:30, and I am glad I did. There wasn't a lot for me to do when I got there, they were really behind schedule. I walked around and got to see the theatre in the "real light". It was pretty dirty, but has tons of history! I helped clean the stage up a bit and helped where they needed me. But just being there helped me to calm some of my fears. That is until the show started to get close to starting! Before long, it seemed like the time had already arrived. When we opened the doors at 6:00 (1 hour before showtime) there was a crowd of people. People started filing in through the doors and they didn't stop until we closed the doors at 7:10! The Gem seats 916 people. We had roped about 30 seats behind the sound board off so people wouldn't sit there, but we had to eventually open them up for people. Dad had to go around asking people to move towards the centers of the aisles to make room! It was amazing. There were tons of people there that we didn't know! How awesome! In all, they believe there were about 880 people. The most people I have ever performed for, I think. It was a great show. Lots of mistakes, but a great show! People loved it and have been talking about it since Wednesday night. We all put so much time and love into the show that we were a little bummed that we only had 1 night to do it! We are doing an encore performance tonight at 7:00. I am not quite as nervous as I was on Wednesday, just excited to do it again! I did my best to snap pictures the night of the show, but I didn't do a good job. Here are some of the shots taken from the night of the show! Enjoy!!!
