This post is very out of order. But, I am just now getting the pictures uploaded from the camera to the computer, so it will have to do. Now that Eli has turned three, I decided it was time for him to visit the dentist. I called and made an appointment and explained that it was his first trip. We got there and I was very nervous! You never know how your kids will act in a first time situation. We waited in the waiting room and I filled out all of the paper work. While I was busy writing down all of the possible information that they need to know in order to clean a 3 year old's teeth, Eli patiently waited and played with a Thomas the Train set they had. On a side note, there was a little boy, who I estimate to be about 5, there playing with the train set as well. Eli interacted with him just like they had known each other their whole lives. The little boy had a spiderman game with him, and Eli promptly told him, "My mommy says that Spiderman is bad." Great! Just rat me out why don't ya? We then had a little conversation that Spiderman isn't necessarily bad, but that the Spiderman show isn't a great choice for Eli to watch. Anyway, they called us back and had Eli sit in the big chair. We counted all of his teeth, practiced brushing the giant teeth model that she had. Gave him some super cool sunglasses to protect his eyes from the bright light. He chose bubble gum toothpaste. He did awesome! He sat there the whole time and let her clean his teeth. He didn't care for the water shooter into his mouth, but LOVED the spit sucker. He held it the whole time and kept putting his mouth on it. Now remember, he wouldn't let her put any water into his mouth, so he was just letting it suck away, cheeks and all. He really did a good job. The highlight of my day was then the dentist told me that based on his perfectly aligned teeth, he would most likely need orthodontic work. Big SHOCKER there, right?? Maybe one of my kids will get Roach teeth and not need braces. As for Eli, he is following the Wallace mouth and will have that joy to look forward to! On our way out, the receptionist was a man who did balloon creatures. He twisted a balloon into a dog on a motorcycle. It didn't last long, but Eli liked it. He also got a new Chick Hicks toothbrush, a cool timer, and lots of stickers. I guess it's Lucy's turn next.
