I'm back! With Facebook in our lives, I have let this blog suffer. I began my blogging in an effort to keep family and friends up to date with the comings and goings of our family. I feel like Facebook has allowed us to do that somewhat.
So I've decided to use the blog for something different for the next month or so. Last May I decided to try the Whole 30. Have you heard of it? You can check it out here.
So basically, last year when I tried it, I had become fed up with trying to lose weight with diet and exercise. Simple calories in/calories out were NOT working and I hit a plateau. I didn't know what else to do so I gave it a try. I LOVED it. Now don't get me wrong, it was TOUGH. But I couldn't get over how great I felt. I read the book that accompanied the whole 30 called, It Starts with Food. It was so fascinating to read this book and I kept telling Aaron all about it.
So here goes. Tomorrow starts Day 1 for both Aaron and I and I am so excited. I am going to attempt to use the blog as a journal through the next 30 days.
Tonight is the night before and we've done all of our meal prep. I began with a month long calendar planning out our dinners. Then this afternoon, I began getting my breakfasts and lunches made for this week.
I made scrambled egg muffins with bacon and chopped up veggies. I premade bags of raw nuts. Hard boiled a dozen eggs, made paleo mayo, and made egg salad.
Aaron is planning to have leftover dinner from tonight as his lunch for tomorrow.
I am excited!
See you tomorrow!
