Whole 30- Day 3

Day 3-

I was so sleepy last night that I put myself to bed at 8:45 and slept the whole night through!  I definitely needed that!  I woke up this morning feeling amazing!  Not just because I got a great night's sleep, but I didn't have a backache when I woke up and I jumped out of bed for the day.  I don't feel as puffy or bloated today.  Aaron and I were talking about how we feel and he mentioned the same thing.  He said that he feels better too and feels like his pants are feeling a little looser.

Breakfast
I seriously almost forgot to eat breakfast!  I was walking out the door and realized it.  So I grabbed a egg muffin, put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and ate it on my way to the car.  Based on my experience yesterday, I knew it probably wouldn't fill me much but I packed some extra snacks in my lunch box today so I would be ok.

Snack
I had a clementine and an apple pie Larabar for snack.  Those are seriously my favorite!

Lunch
For lunch I went for good old leftovers of last night's dinner.  The taco meat on top of lettuce and then topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives.  I actually think it was better today than last night.  I don't know why but it was!

Dinner
Can I tell you how much I love my crockpot? This morning before I left for school, I stuck a whole chicken in the crockpot with some chicken seasoning and set it to cook for 10 hours.  When we got home this afternoon, the house smelled amazing!  I had another violin lesson this afternoon so I decided to cut veggies before my lesson.  I cut up zucchini, squash, yellow pepper, green pepper, onion, asparagus, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes and put them on my jelly roll pan from Pampered Chef.  Then I drizzled some light olive oil and tossed the veggies, added salt and pepper and put in the oven at 400 for about 20 minutes or so.  I pulled them out to mix them around and put them back in for another 10 minutes or so.  After my lesson was over, I boiled some golden potatoes and made mashed potatoes using coconut milk and ghee.  It was a most delicious meal and everyone loved it!

I continued to feel really great all day today.  Aaron said that he felt great all the way up until he got home from school.  Then he said he became "hangry".  He said he was grumpy and tired and all he wanted to do was eat something sweet.  I told him to eat a clementine and he said, "do you know how many of those I have eaten?"  I think he finally had a smoothie to get that sweet craving to go away.  After dinner, we cleaned up and I left for swim practice. It was a tough practice to get through.  I could barely lift my arms all night so I am sure I won't be able to move tomorrow! But for right now, I am exhausted and headed to bed.

Day 4 tomorrow.  Is it bad that I am already thinking in my head, Only 26 more days to go!?!
