It's Beginning to Look a lot like CHRISTMAS!!!

Now that school is out and we have 2 whole weeks of vacation, things at home are beginning to look and feel a lot like Christmas. Here are some of our pictures of our trees and decorations. I took some pictures of some of our favorite ornaments on the tree. There is also a picture of the fireplace with stockings. We still haven't found a matching stocking holder to hold Lily's so hers is sharing with Daddy's. You may also notice that Lily's name doesn't match and is gigantic on the stocking compared to everyone else's. After Lucy was born we didn't plan to have anymore babies, so I went ahead and bought stocking hangers and stockings and had them embroidered. Then the next Christmas we were already expecting again! I found the stocking at the Pottery Barn Outlet and had it embroidered at a special shop at the mall. She couldn't match it exactly so it is a little bigger and a different font. Two reasons that will make Lily's story of how she surprised us in 2007 and 2008 even more special. I love this time of year to take everything out and look through it to just remember the journey we have taken over the last 6 (almost 7) years!
Our Solitude Ornament that we got on our honeymoon.
Our blue and silver tree in the dining room. (This one is real) The window is in the front of the house and needs a tree in it! But I didn't want to have Christmas in the dining room. So we get a real tree for this room and put an artificial tree up in the family room.

Fireplace and stockings

Our tree, fireplace and stockings in the family room.

Cute little snowmen that we got at the Holly Arts Festival in downtown Pinehurst the first year we lived there.

A beautiful first Christmas ornament that Aaron and I received as a wedding gift from my Grandparents.

A violin ornament

A glass snowman ornament that I got at an ornament exchange when I was working at Lincoln Elementary. (there is a second matching one somewhere else on the tree)

Lucy's first Christmas ornament

Eli's first Christmas ornament from Mamaw Roach on the right. The one on the left was an "excpecting" ornament we got from Kerri Millikan the Christmas before Eli was born.

Eli has a lot of Baby's First Christmas ornaments. I guess that's what happens for the first baby! :-)

An ornament that Eli made at school. His face makes this ornament even funnier. It is such a mischievous face on an angel!

An ornament that Eli made at school with his hand print!
