The Internet!

It is a sad but true fact that Aaron and I only get paid one time a month. Obviously on the same day! So each month for one day we look like we make a lot of money. The tough part is being on a strict enough budget in order to live for the entire month. I find that the hardest part is groceries. It is near imposible to buy food one time a month that will last the entire month. But if we don't, we spend entirely too much money! So one month every Saturday, I wake up and get ready for the daunting task of grocery shopping. Because we have a large family, I buy most of our groceries at Sams Club and live out of the freezer! I am actually getting really good at my shopping and stay awfully close to the budget every month. Last month I made a menu for every day of the month and then when shopping. We actually stuck to the menu and made it through the month with flying colors. I didn't need to go for a quick up of something that I needed all month long! I was super proud of us this month. Well, Friday was pay day meaning that this morning was my scheduled grocery shopping trip. It has been cold and raining and grocery shopping was the furthest thing from my mind this morning. So, in my pajamas, I sat at my computer and decided I was going to try doing my grocery shopping from the internet. I knew that you could buy things from Sams website, I just didn't know how much stuff you could get. Well, to my surprise, everything that is in the local Samsclub is actually online. Even down to a gallon of milk. AMAZING. I did all of my shopping (except for my cookies from the bakery and my roast from the butcher man). It was amazing. Except for one impulse buy, I completely stuck to the list. It will be ready for me in the morning. All I need to do is show up, pay for it and get it in the car. I know it seems a bit lazy but I was able to do all of my Samsclub shopping (which in person stinks!) from my living room, in my pajamas, while my kids watched an episode of Dora! So cool!!! I just think it is amazing some of the things that we are able to do these days!
