On December 29th, Aaron and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary. We had decided to go to dinner at the Outback but were having a difficult time figuring out what else we wanted to do. Aaron proposed an idea that at first sounded a little silly! Aaron said to me, "I have an idea for what we can do for our anniverary, but don't say no right away." I must have had a really funny look on my face. He said, "hear me out." We don't really want to see any movies and think about how much it would cost to see a movie that we don't really want to see. What if we used our movie money and painted our dining room instead? It is something that we both have been talking about doing, your parents could watch the kids and we wouldn't have to worry about keeping kids out of our hair, and it is something that we can do together. I thought about it for a couple of seconds and then realized he was right, it was a perfect idea. We went to a wonderful dinner and then came home and began painting at 8:30. We painted straight until 12:30. Even after all that painting we realized it was not going to get done. We chose a beautiful dark red called "cabin red'. After one coat it looked pink and then quickly became quite the project. Even though it took us a week to eventually finish it, I LOVE it and I think it was the best way to celebrate sharing the last 7 years together. It was the perfect anniversary!
In the midst of the painting project, Aaron began working on a wiring project under the house. So cute. That's my man! 7 years!!!!

What a fun idea! It looks beautiful! We have a red bathroom and it took about 5 coats to complete! : )
