A Fun Weekend in Ohio

This past weekend, my mom and I kicked off our summer vacation with a short trip to Ohio. My cousin, Jaci, is expecting her first baby at the end of August and we had a shower for her. Aaron had graduation and Dad had to be at church, so mom and I packed up and headed north for the weekend. It was a lot of fun. Each day, I am discovering that life is getting a little bit easier. I only had to pack one pack and play instead of 3. I only needed one booster instead of three and only enough diapers for one instead of three! The trip was fairly uneventful up there. We did discover that Lily doesn't like to travel or be in her seat as was evident every five seconds that she said "I want down". We got in late Friday night and were able to suprise my brother, Scott, and his wife, Sophie. Saturday morning we headed over to my Aunt Paula's house and surprised everyone for the shower. It was so much fun. Jaci looks adorable and we just had a great time hanging out, laughing, eating, and talking. We headed home on Monday afternoon for a trip that seemed like a million years long. But I was glad that we got to go and see them and share in the excitement for the new baby joining our family!
